Daryl Hannah Signed Kill Bill 8x10

"I might never have liked you. Point in fact I despise you. But that doesn't suggest I don't respect you. Dying in our sleep is a luxury our kind is rarely afforded. My gift to you."

This stunning 8x10 of Elle Driver, standing over the Bride in Kill Bill has been signed by Hollywood actress Daryl Hannah. We'll provide you with full details of when and where Daryl signed this piece. The Kill Bill movie was conceived during the filming of Pulp Fiction when Tarantino would constantly tell actress Uma Thurman what would become the film's tagline: "Uma Thurman will Kill Bill!". The closing title card, "Based on the character of 'The Bride' created by Q & U" is an obvious reference to Quentin Tarantino and Uma Thurman!

The Bride was once a top member of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad. And then, one day, she decided to leave the business, assume a new identity, and get married. But it was on the day of her marriage that her old "friends," O-Ren Ishii, Elle Driver, Budd, and Vernita Green, not to mention her boss, Bill, showed up out of the blue. They assassinate the entire ceremony and Bill shoots the Bride in the head, putting her in a coma. Well, Bill and his people should have tried a little harder, because after four years, the Bride has awakened from her coma. And Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned...

The movie, Tarantino's fourth, pays homage the dynasty of kung fu films. For example, masks worn by the Crazy 88 gang are homage to Kato's mask in "The Green Hornet"(1966).The black & white photography is, in the end, an homage to '70's and '80s US television airings of kung fu movies. Black & white, and also black & red, were used to "hide" the shedding of blood from television censors. It was, however, originally, to be shown in color (and is in the Japanese cut of the film) but the MPAA demanded measures be taken to tone the scene down. Tarantino merely used the old trick for its intended purpose, rather than merely as an homage. Part of the movie was shot at the legendary Shaw Bros. studio in Hong Kong. Tarantino has seen so many movies made at the studio that he felt it was important for him to work there. Over 450 gallons of fake blood was used on the two Kill Bill movies.
