Bryce Dallas Howard Signed The Village 8x10

"Sometimes we don't do what we want to do because we're afraid that other people will know that be want to do them."

This great picture of Ivy Walker in the remarkable 2004 film The Village has been signed by actress Bryce Dallas Howard. Bryce is the daughter of former Happy Days star Ron Howard, who has of course gone on to become one of Hollywood's most accomplished directors. With a wealth of stage experience which belies her tender years, Bryce looks like becoming hot Hollywood property and has recently been cast in the title role in Mary Queen of Scots.

The Village' depicts the thrilling tale of an isolated town confronting the astonishing truth that lies just outside its borders. At first glance, this village seems picture perfect, but this close-knit community lives with the frightening knowledge that creatures reside in the surrounding woods. The evil and foreboding force is so unnerving that none dare venture beyond the borders of the village and into the woods. But when curious, headstrong Lucius Hunt plans to step beyond the boundaries of the town and into the unknown, his bold move threatens to forever change the future of the village.

The Village, with its trademark twist ending, was the latest movie from M. Night Shyamalan, who shot to prominence with Sixth Sense and followed up his success with Signs and Unbreakable. Shyamalan has stated that the inspiration of the story comes from two unlikely sources: "Wuthering Heights" for the period drama, and King Kong for the community living in fear of predatory creatures. M. Night Shyamalan initially had a different concept for the "Those We Do Not Speak Of" Creatures. They were originally conceived to be monsters similar to the rock drawings featured at the beginning of the movie: similar to a Lion walking on its hind feet, complete with shaggy mane. When the creatures were built to full scale and brought on set, M. Night Shyamalan felt that the design was completely unbelievable. The creatures were quickly redesigned, most noticeably with the addition of the red cloak.
