This great display celebrates one of the greatest comedy sketches of all time and features the signatures of genuine comedy royalty. This fantastic display piece features an iconic image from the so-called "class sketch" on the Frost Report and the signatures of the legendary Ronnie Corbett, Ronnie Barker and John Cleese. It has been professionally double matted using acid free materials and is the perfect addition to any comedy fan's collection.

 

The Class sketch is a comedy sketch first broadcast in an episode of David Frost's satirical comedy programme The Frost Report on 7 April 1966. It has been described as a "genuinely timeless sketch, ingeniously satirising the British class system" and in 2005 was voted number 40 in Channel Four's "Britain's 50 Greatest Comedy Sketches". It was written by Marty Feldman and John Law, and features John Cleese, Ronnie Barker, and Ronnie Corbett.

Messrs Corbett and Barker joined forces again in the much loved The Two Ronnies - which was a hugely popular show for a number of years - and meant people never quite looked at fork handles in the same way again! Barker of course is also renowned for Porridge. John Cleese will forever be associated with Monty Python and also Fawlty Towers - but has also enjoyed a hugely successful career in Hollywood - featuring in films as diverse as Clockwise, A Fish Called Wanda and the Harry Potter films. It is no exaggeration to say that the trio who feature on this item are amongst the funniest people who have ever lived on the planet - this early sketch gave a real hint of the comic genius that all possessed.
