This is an original production cel from the cartoon which entertained a whole generation of children in the late 1980s: The Real Ghostbusters. The cartoon, which featured all of the characters from the original film – Egon, Winston, Peter, Ray and of course Slimer, was a firm favourite for many years. This is an actual original hand painted production cel from the series itself. The cel shows three of the ghost busters - Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, Winston Zeddmore. The purchaser will also receive the corresponding production drawing free of charge.

Slimer is a class 5, free roaming apparition, classification unknown. He’s a distinctive green in color. He haunted the Sedgwick Hotel in Manhattan for 80 years, off and on. The coming of Gozer started his manifestations again and he became the first ghost captured by the Ghostbusters. He slimed Peter the first time they saw each other - the start of a beautiful relationship!! When the containment unit blew up, Slimer was the only ghost who stayed at the firehouse. He let himself be known to the Ghostbusters one at a time. They all accepted him, except Peter, who wanted to blast him. Ray decided to call him Slimer to annoy Peter.

Slimer has an almost constant compulsion to eat anything and everything, even though he is only a torso with arms and a head, and there is nothing below the waist. He does like all kinds of sweets and junk food, and frequently goes through the neighborhood garbage cans. A ghost after our own hearts!!
