Mike Myers & Eddie Murphy Signed Shrek Display

"Ogres are like onions!"

This fabulous display piece consists of a wonderful 8x10 of Shrek and Donkey and the signatures of Mike Myers - the man who voiced the hilarious and brave green ogre - and Eddie Murphy who voiced the waffle loving ass! Computer animation production started on the original project on 31 October 1996 and took more than four and a half years to complete. The principal actors never met each other. All read their parts separately, with a reader feeding them the lines.

Shrek is a big ogre who lives alone in the woods, feared from all the people in the land of Duloc. When Lord Farquaad, the ruler of Duloc, exiles all the fairy-tale beings in the woods, Shrek loses his peaceful life and his home becomes a refugees camp. So, he sets to find Lord Farquaad and convince him to take the fairy-tale beings back where they belong, and leave him alone. Lord Farquaad accepts, under one condition. Shrek must first go and find the beautiful young princess Fiona, who will become Farquaad's bride. So, the big Ogre begins his quest, along with his newfound donkey friend...

Mike Myers was born in 1963 in Scarborough, Ontario. His television career really started in 1988, when he joined Saturday Night Live, where he spent six seasons. In addition to Shrek, Myers has played several characters in the three Austin Powers movies to date - Austin Powers himself, Dr. Evil, Goldmember and Fat Bast*rd. His other comic creations include Wayne's World. Not a lot of people know that Mike's parents, Eric and Alice, were British citizens, which is why Myers carries a British passport and supports Liverpool.

Murphy made his feature film debut in 48 Hrs. (1982), alongside Nick Nolte. The two's comedic and antagonistic chemistry, alongside Murphy's believable performance as a street wise convict aiding a bitter, aging cop, won over critics and audiences. The next year, Murphy went 2 for 2 with another hit, pairing him with John Landis, who later became a frequent collaborator with Murphy in "Coming to America" and the third installment of his 1984 film Beverly Hills Cop. Beverly Hills Cop (1984) was the film that made Murphy a box-office superstar, and most notably made him a celebrity worldwide. It remains one of the all-time biggest domestic blockbusters in motion picture history. Murphy's performance as a young Detroit cop in pursuit of his friend's murderers earned him a third consecutive Golden Globe nomination. Axel Foley became one of Murphy's signature characters.
