George Lazenby & Diana Rigg Signed OHMSS 8x10

"My apologies for the way you were brought here. I wasn't sure you'd accept a formal invitation." "There's always something formal about the point of a pistol."

This sensational 8x10 photograph from On Her Majesty's Secret Service of 007 and arguably his one true love, Tracy Draco has been signed by both George Lazenby and Diana Rigg. Dame Diana in particular has become an increasingly rare signer - to have them both on the same piece makes this an incredibly sought after piece.

Perhaps the strongest of all Bond girls, Tracy Draco is also the only one James fell in love with. In On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Tracy wins Bond's heart and he asks her to marry him. Sadly, the new Mrs. Bond is gunned down by Irma Bundt, Blofeld's sinister henchwoman, just minutes after the wedding.

Born in a Yorkshire industrial town, Rigg was two years old when her father, a railroad constructionist, moved the family to India. Six years later, she was back in Yorkshire, suffering through the discipline and rigors of private school until one of her teachers introduced her to the world of the theatre. After graduation, Rigg was accepted by the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art; she went on to the Royal Shakespeare Company. In 1965, she was selected to replace Honor Blackman on the popular tongue-in-cheek TV-adventure series The Avengers, and for the next two years captivated little boys of all ages with her energetic portrayal of coolheaded, leather-clad karate expert Mrs. Emma Peel. Though she was always welcome in films and television (she headlined a brief American sitcom, Diana, in 1973), Rigg preferred to think of herself as a "theatre animal."

George Lazenby possessed many of the characteristics of Sean Connery, from his style of acting to his sense of humour. He was the only Australian to play James Bond and was regarded by many fans as one of the best. Sadly circumstances dictated that he would only play 007 once.

George met a girl who stole his heart and followed her to England, but to his disappointment he was rejected and stranded in England with next to no money and one torn suit. A freelance photographer spotted him and persuaded him to try modelling as a career. Within a year he became one of the highest paid male models in Europe. He was supposedly earning $40,000 a year and driving an Aston Martin, he starred in many TV commercials and was a well-known name in England. After Connery left the role of 007, it was suggested to Lazenby that he audition for the role, so he went down to the same tailor that Sean Connery had used and got a suit made. He then bought a Rolex, got a haircut to match Connery's, strolled into Harry Saltzman's office and asked to meet him. The rest is history……Sadly things did not go well on set, whilst his portrayal of 007 was excellent, Albert Broccoli was reported to have said he would not work with Lazenby again "he is a pain in the ass".
