She received an ACE award for her performance in the television series Mr. and Mrs. Edgehill (1985) (TV). She was awarded the Order of the British Empire in 1970, and was created Dame of the British Empire in 1988. With starring roles in Mrs Brown, Elizabeth, Chocolat and Iris, Judi is greatly admired in the US as well - receive Oscar recognition for her talents.
